As an experienced educator, I am proficient in a wide range of theatre and performance disciplines, including theatre studies and history, acting techniques, auditioning, musical theatre, script analysis, dramaturgy, criticism, playwriting, improvisation, film and story analysis, and public speaking. I draw upon this deep expertise to create engaging and enriching learning experiences for my students.
I have a strong understanding of collaboration and user-centered methodologies, which allows me to develop innovative online and flipped classroom experiences that foster active learning, critical thinking, and meaningful peer-to-peer engagement. By leveraging digital tools and platforms, I'm able to create dynamic, flexible learning environments that meet the diverse needs of today's students.
In addition to my expertise in theatre and performance, I am also fluent in Spanish. This bilingual capability enables me to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from international students to local community members. I'm able to adapt my teaching materials and approaches to ensure accessibility and cultural relevance for all learners.
Drawing on my project management skills, I am adept at planning, organizing, and leading the development of creative educational projects and courses from initial concept to successful completion. I excel at fostering efficient communication, aligning stakeholder needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful learning experiences.
I am highly skilled at tailoring my teaching materials and approaches to meet the needs of diverse student populations, from ESL learners to graduate-level students. By understanding the unique backgrounds, learning styles, and challenges facing each group, I'm able to create inclusive, supportive environments where all students can thrive.
